Christopher Alewine, MD—Staff Radiologist |
EagleEye benefits greatly from Dr. Alewine’s 16 years of military medical and radiology subspecialty training. He graduated from the NCC’s Radiology Residency Program in 2004, during which time he was elected Chief Resident and Radiology Resident of the Year. In addition, he has completed a military tour in Kuwait, received several military commendation medals, and has been published in the American Journal of Roentgenology. He received his Medical degree from the Uniformed Services University for Health Sciences in 1997 and graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1987. Dr. Alewine currently resides with his family in Herndon, Virginia.

Duncan Barlow, MD – President and Senior Radiologist |
Dr. Barlow brings to EagleEye 28 years of skilled radiology expertise and training from the nation’s most prestigious military medical institutions. As EagleEye’s President, he oversees its operations, manages the business plan, and ensures its financial well-being. Immediately prior to this role, he was the Department Head of the Diagnostic Radiology Department at National Naval Medical Center, while under his watch established the nation’s first Virtual Colonoscopy suite within the command’s Colon Cancer Center. He was awarded “Workhorse of the Year” in 2003 and 2004 by his residents, and has held numerous other academic and leadership positions in clinical services. He received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Brown University. He is a retired Captain in the United States Navy and has completed tours in Naval Hospitals in Washington State and Guam. Dr. Barlow currently resides with his family in Ashburn, Virginia.

Bryan Berkey, MD—Staff Radiologist |
EagleEye is privileged to have Dr. Berkey as part of team of reading radiologists. He comes with 11 years of civilian and military medical education and training. He has conducted research on chest port placement and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. In 2007, he completed the radiology residency program at Tripler Army Medical Center. During his residency, he was a representative on the academic council and was elected Chief Resident during his final year. He received his medical degree from the New York Medical College in 2002, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 1997. Dr. Berkey currently resides in Honolulu, Hawaii with his family.

William Craig, MD—Chairman of the Board and Staff Radiologist |
As EagleEye's Chairman of the Board, Dr. Craig brings a wealth of clinical, entrepreneurial, and executive experience that spans nearly 29 years. He is the steward of the strategic direction of EagleEye and serves as the Chief Executive of the Board of Directors. Prior to his role at EagleEye , he served as Chairman of Radiology at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) and was confirmed as the Radiologic Consultant to the White House and U.S. Capitol Physicians. He has also fulfilled other clinical positions at NNMC including CT Division Head, Director of Image-Guided Procedures, and Chief of Clinical Diagnosis. He was an Associate Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School from 2002 to 2005. After graduating with his medical degree from USUHS, Dr. Craig completed his Radiology residency at NNMC, part of the National Capital Consortium. In 2009, he completed his MBA at the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business and is a 1986 cum laude graduate from the United States Naval Academy. He currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his family.

Eric Davis, MD—Staff Radiologist |
Along with his fellowship training in neuroradiology, Dr. Davis comes to EagleEye with 15 years of military and civilian medical education and training. He completed his fellowship training at the NYP—Cornell/ Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospitals in 1997 and is currently the staff neuroradiologist with a radiology group in Plano, Texas. In 2006, he was awarded the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Certificate of Merit for his research on pediatric brain tumors. He has presented additional research at RSNA on migrational anomalies and CT markers for cervical injuries. He completed the radiology residency program at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT in 2006, and in the year prior was elected Chief Resident. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1998, and graduated with a Bachelor’s in English from the University of Texas in 1990. Dr. Davis currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his family.

He graduated from the Radiology Residency Program at the National Capital Consortium in Washington, DC in 2007, and completed an overseas tour in Germany in 2003 where he had served as Chief of Clinical Services at the largest military outpatient health care facility in Europe. He has also received numerous Army commendation medals. He received his medical and his Bachelor’s of Science degrees from Georgetown University in 1999 and 1995 respectively. Dr. Doherty currently resides in Manhattan, Kansas with his family.

Dr. Escobar joins EagleEye with 10 years of civilian and military medical education and training. Immediately prior his position at EagleEye, he completed the Radiology Residency program at the National Capital Consortium in Washington, DC. During his residency he participated in numerous research projects and collaborated on several publications. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal in 2004 for research he presented on breast biopsy methods. In 2003, he graduated from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Miami in 1998. Dr. Escobar currently resides with his family in Waynesville, Missouri.

Michael Gibson, MD—Vice President and Staff Radiologist |
As EagleEye’s Vice President, Dr. Gibson assists in the overall management and operations of the company, as well as ensures its financial well-being. He brings to EagleEye 16 years of military and civilian medical education and training, including completion of a fellowship in Body and Musculoskeletal Radiology from the National Capital Consortium in 2006. He has authored or coauthored several journal articles and book chapters in the field of musculoskeletal radiology and has presented papers at the international and national level. He completed the Radiology Residency Program at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego in 2005, and received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1997. He attended the College of William and Mary, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry in 1993. Dr. Gibson currently resides in Rockville, Maryland with his family.

Amy Kirby, MD—Staff Radiologist |
Dr. Kirby joins EagleEye with 9 years of medical experience and training, including a fellowship in Body Imaging from Yale University in 2009. Prior to her role at EagleEye, she served as the staff radiologist at a busy regional hospital in Oklahoma where she managed the vast imaging needs of a diverse population. She has been very active in radiology advocacy groups throughout her career, most recently serving on the Commission of Human Resources and the State Government Relations Committee of the American College of Radiology. Among other leadership positions, she was also a founder of the Resident Section of the Oklahoma State Radiological Society and served as an executive board member of the American Association of Women Radiologists. She has presented research findings to numerous radiology academic organizations, most recently to the Society of Skeletal Radiologists in 2008. She completed her radiology residency in 2006 from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and completed a mini-fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology in 2007 from Clinical Radiology. She received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2001 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Oklahoma City University in 1995. Dr. Kirby currently resides in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with her family.

In 2007, he completed the Radiology Residency Program of the National Capital Consortium in Washington, DC. He was elected Chief Resident and received the Outstanding Radiology Resident Award in his final year. During that time he also collaborated on several publications. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College in 2002, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1996. Dr. Kosut currently resides with his family in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Brian Singleton, MD—Chief Executive Officer and Staff Radiologist |
Dr. Singleton’s 16 years of military and civilian medical education and training have prepared him well to take on the role of EagleEye’s Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for executing the strategic plans and policies established by the Board of Directors, while managing and overseeing the operations of the company. He completed the Radiology Residency Program of the National Capital Consortium in Washington, DC in 2006 during which time he conducted imaging research on emergency decompressive craniotomy and helped develop a framework for web-assisted diagnosis of abnormal patterns in chest imaging. He received his medical degree from the Marshall University School of Medicine in 1999, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Vanderbilt University in 1995. Dr. Singleton currently resides in Wilmington, North Carolina with his family.

Alice Smith, MD—Staff Radiologist |
Dr. Smith brings to EagleEye 21 years of civilian and military medical education and training, including fellowship training in neuroradiology. Several of her research studies in neuroradiology have been published and she has given numerous lectures before various radiology professional organizations. She completed her fellowship in neuroradiology in 2007 at the University of California, San Francisco and graduated from the Tripler Army Medical Center Diagnostic Radiology residency program in 2005. She completed a pediatric residency at Keesler Medical Center in Mississippi in 1995. She graduated cum laude with her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 1992 and received her undergraduate degree in 1988 from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Smith currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland with her family.

Derek Staner, MD—Staff Radiologist |
EagleEye benefits greatly from Dr. Staner’s 11 years of civilian and military medical education and training. In 2007, he became a member of the Association of University Radiologists Steering Committee and co-chaired its film panel at the annual meeting where rare and atypical cases were discussed. In 2006, he was appointed Missouri Radiologic Society representative to the Resident and Fellow Section of the American College of Radiology Meeting. He received a Certificate of Merit from the American Roentgen Ray Society for neuroimaging research he performed in 2005 and had research published on vascular/interventional techniques in that same year. He completed the University of Missouri Kansas City’s radiology residency program in 2007, and was its Chief Resident in 2006. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2002, and graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1998. Dr. Staner currently resides with his family in Rolla, Missouri with his family.

Dr. Travis joins EagleEye with 10 years of military and civilian medical education and training. Prior to his role at EagleEye, he completed his radiology residency at the National Capital Consortium (NCC) where he collaborated on numerous publications and presented a lecture series. In 2007, he received the Roentgen Resident/ Fellow Research Award while participating on Graduate Medical Education Subcommittees of both the NCC and the National Naval Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa’s College of Medicine in 2000, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy in 1992 from Creighton University. He also holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Iowa, which he received in 1996. Dr. Travis currently resides in Beaufort, South Carolina with this family.

Peter Van Geertruyden, MD—Staff Radiologist |
Dr. Van Geertruyden brings 8 years of military and civilian medical education and training to EagleEye’s team of radiologists. Immediately before joining EagleEye, he completed his radiology residency at the National Capital Consortium during which time he collaborated on several publications and served as the Housestaff Senate Resident of the Year. He is also very active in a number of radiology professional organizations, with his most recent position serving as a Sitting Member of the Government Relations Commission and the Grassroots Committee of the American College of Radiology. He has authored several articles for radiology journals and in 2008 served as the ACR’s J.T. Rutherford Fellow. He received his medical degree in 2002 from Tulane University School of Medicine and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from West Point Military Academy in 1996. Dr. Van Geertruyden currently resides in Washington, DC.
